This is my third loudspeaker design. I wanted a subwoofer to extend the low frequency response. I am not going to play very loud nor I do not want a big box, therefor I built a relatively small subwoofer using a 10″ element.

The loudspeaker element

Peerless Resolution 10 is an element witch fits well into a reasonable box. I will not go into details about how I assembled the subwoofer here. The only thing different from my previous builds ( front speakers rear speakers ) are the amplifier. I built a little room for the amplifier as shown in the picture below. The reason I did this is to prevent lekage of air through the amplifier.

Below is a picture of the completely assembled subwoofer. The only thing left to do is connect the power and a signal source and adjust the crossover frequency and sound level.
